Ler esse livro serve para podermfos ver que "algumas coisas nunca mudam" mesmo. Tem que ter muito cuidado e ter sempre em mente que foi uma carta escrita há quase 2000 anos dentro de um contexto na vida do filósofo muito preciso. E que se não mantivermos isso presente corremos o risco de generalizações infudamentadas e justificativas errôneas para atos que nunca foram o propósito do autor. Conhecimento é poder e Sêneca vai ser sempre atual.

Reading this book is a good thing for making us figure out how "somethings DO never change".. But always bear in mind this is a letter written almost 2000 year ago inside very specific circumstances. And if we don't we are always on the risk of making misleading conclusions, erroneously justifying act which were never meant by the author. There is no knowledge that is not power and Seneca will always be up to date.
